Project Overview
Another great project described by the architect (GRT Architecture) as helping "a traditional home on a new housing development stand out from the crowd" and we totally agree. Providing additional living space to both the dining room and kitchen/living, this relatively small extension has completely changed the internal space. Additional light now floods into the living areas through two sets of stylish slimline aluminium French doors which also bring a connection to the much loved and stunning garden. The larch cladding has been expertly installed and treated with SiOO:X wood protection which eliminates differential weathering and helps the timber to 'silver' more quickly and provide a beautifully weathered appearance yet still giving plenty of protection from the elements. Attention to detail, such as colour-matching the guttering, downpipe, French doors and the Sika single-ply roof system all give this build a stylish and contemporary feel.
